A Rumination Poem

14 March 2009 · set down by Ledah

A recount of what I saw and thought during and before the rise of Khalazdad the Black:

On the eve of one dear night,
Our player who wrote this aroused with a fright.
He saw them all, summoning a Shade,
And wondered what terrible price would be paid.
Next morn the Khal was born,
Only to later leave me to mourn:
He took me in as his first Man,
And too late revealed to me his evil plan. I cursed and swore at the birth of the Black,
But now I curse this simple fact: I have no control, no power, I had nothing:
I was a lower.
