Order by Chaos

Order by Chaos

Managing an online game such as MagicDuel allowed me to discover certain similarities between the real world and a virtual world, things that are more clear for me here, as i am sure they are clear for people behind the curtains that run the BIG show called real life. This is will be just a short note on the things i learn from all this and i mainly write it down because i am in one of those moods when i want to share things with all the beautiful minds that will read this.

I will not go now in conspiracy theories and things like that, it's not my purpose with this article to point out things that might be obvious for some or unbelievable for others. I just want to speak about one single part that i like to call Order by Chaos.

The whole world we live in is very similar to this virtual community, in a way. Over the time i tried to change certain things in an attempt to filter out the things i didn't want to happen in the games virtual world, but i also realised the striking similarities with the outside world, the political system and the society in general.

RPC characters in-game started to become a ruling elite, people exploited the system just for the fun of it, creativity found a way to manifest itself even without the needed tools, people trusted with power abused it and so on...all of this are normal things to happen in any society, especially in a forming one like here.

Trying to overcome certain logic problems with the game i realised the flaws of such a society and most important i realised that these flaws are mirrored in the real world. In the game i try to fix them and it leads to a strange political pattern, and i started to think what could be the resemblance between the world pattern and the things happening here.

If you would allow me to use big words i would say that the world is a big flawed game, totally out of balance ... and you will probably say it's not true, because everything seems to work so fine, we have laws , politics, social structure and all.....on a smaller scale we have this also in the game, until you realise that it has flaws that are big enough to ruin it, yet it keeps on going.

How do you achieve order in all this then?

A Different Ballance

The answer is Chaos. You can sustain order and maintain balance in a flawed system by adding chaos. Chaos is a natural step in the evolution of an unbalanced/flawed system. If you manage to find a way to feed it to that system under a controlled way, you will manage to cancel its natural occurrence and by that to create the illusion of a stable, perpetual system.

In real world you see this all over you, a world without chaos from time to time would be a stable, boring world, that would eventually shift in one direction leading eventually again to..chaos. Terrorism is both a natural occurrence but also the needed chaos that some superpowers add to their playground to better control it.

The whole system balance, both real world and game world could be depicted as a virtual balance with heavy stones on one side and foamy lite items on the other side but plenty enough to balance the stones weight. The foamy lite items are the majority of the people and the heavy stones are the ruling elite of the world. The majority of the population ..again, be it game or real ... must and does live in the illusion of a balance, while the ruling elite takes over all the unbalance. Investing money, playing with laws, it's all unbalance, chaos controlled by a few people so that the others will "benefit" of stability. Think that all the money in the world it's actually just a concept, an illusion, and that a big diamond is actually less valuable than a watch or a nice dinner, or that inbox is as valuable as gold if not more yet the real value of things does not matter in a world that is controlled in this way.

Out of the system

All systems are made to be broken :)
In fact, some of the most capable cheaters in this game are now part of the staff and are helping me to better understand it. Do you think that because i build this game i fully understand it? no. To build the tools for creating a world does not mean you are capable of using them yourself or that you understand the result of your creation.

I am just an observer and i learn from what i see here.

As i studied the reasons and actions of cheaters in the game i realised a lot of similarities with things that happen in rl, but i also realised some things that happen in-game but apparently don't happen in real life ...or at least that was that i first thought.

An invisible planet is a planet that can be proven mathematically that it exists based on the influences it has on the nearby planets. Even if you can not see it, you know it's there.
After thinking more about this, i realised i was looking at such a planet, only it was happening in the ruling pattern of the real world.

Controlling when the chaos happens is the key of achieving a perfect order and an apparently balanced system.

I dare to say i understood a lot of things about the recent global financial crisis, or the recent wars, all from the perspective of the controlled chaos, i almost feel like starting to bid on the stock market :)))

enough said.

Religion control over chaos

Religion is also using chaos as a control factor, you shall not kill , but murders were conducted under control in public

more later...

Amazing!
What you said about the financial crisis, wars, etc...
The Maya's said that after 2012 there will be a 'golden age'
Nostradamus' prophecies ended in 2012...
What about chaos will end in 2012... and there will be back balance? Just a guess... Time will tell...
