Page 1 [2008-10-13 00:29:08 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] "The documents are right, they are never wrong... never!" Bootes looks at the same page over and over, something is strange, maybe the person that wrote the document was insane, but then... how could it pass the archivists control when it was added to the Archives?

Page 2 [2008-10-13 01:48:46 - The Inner Sun - Bo.]
Dark thoughts start to come into his mind. "Maybe the shades wrote it to spread chaos and mistrust among us. Maybe the archives hold more secrets. What if I was not supposed to see this? What if...?" Fear and confusion make him see and hear things that are not there. "I must keep my mind clear..." He puts the document in a safe place for later investigation.

Page 3 [2008-10-13 15:22:58 - The Inner Sun - Pen. Bo.]
"Penelope, good that you are here, I want to show you something I found in the archives." Bootes pulls out some old papers and spreads them on the table.
"Oh, there are more?" Penelope asks.
"What do you mean there are more? You have more of these documents?"
Pen pulls Bootes aside. "We should not talk here, its not safe, lets go..."

Page 4 [2008-10-13 15:28:47 - The Inner Sun - Pen. Bo.] "There is a small group of people that know about this. When we first discovered them, we tried to ask the archivists about them but their reaction was strange. I also know none of these documents were here. It all started to happen recently when the sun started to move."
Bootes listens, fascinated. "Are you sure? You are actually saying the documents appeared, but they look ancient!".
Pen whispers "The documents are not the only thing that appeared after the sun started to move..."

Page 5 [2008-10-13 19:42:20 - The Inner Sun - Pen. Bo. Nel.]
"Lady Nelya, welcome, what business so far away from Loreroot?" Bootes asks as Nelya enters.
With a strange look in her eyes, Nelya unfolds a parchment in front of Bootes. "Have you ever seen such a thing?" she asks.
At first sight he knew it is the same kind of document as the ones he and Pen had discovered in the archives. "Yes, and I think there are more. Don't talk about this with anyone else, it seems the Archivists don't want people to find out. Until we find more about what these sketches mean we must keep it secret. I fear there is a dark secret behind all this."

Page 6 [2008-10-13 19:58:49 - The Inner Sun - Iam.]
A character that always feels bored and tries to find ways of entertaining himself, "I am Bored" called by some, runs with a parchment, shouting all over about the sun that is moving, putting everybody in a state of panic. Suddenly, several men clothed in golden painted cloaks appear out of the crowd. "Catch this heretic!!"

Page 7 [2008-10-13 20:03:47 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] His bones hurt and a cold air fills his lungs. All things start to move slow around him and to fade. He can still hear voices of people speaking around him.
"Where do we put him now, the prison is not ready yet."
"We could... kill him... maybe?"
"No, we must make him believe he is insane. Make people believe he is insane and they will forget what he said. Lets close him in the dungeon for now, the shades will take care of the rest."

Page 8 [2008-10-14 00:34:49 - The Inner Sun - Other] Alerted by the rumors, people start to talk about the mysterious papers, but nobody seems to actually know anything more. In a safe place somewhere, Bootes tries to find more about the docs. "They speak about an "inner sun". What could that be? The recent movement of the Sun seems to be documented in these docs that look ancient, but how is that possible when this just happened after the Shade Balance situation?" More questions rise and some even suggested. It is not the sun that these talk about.

Page 9 [2008-10-14 00:41:01 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] "Hello? Anybody here?" Bored by boredom itself, I am Bored has to face total solitude in a dark corner of the archives. Somewhere forgotten by all with no one to hear his annoying talk. "No one is here to listen to me. I will go insane! No, this cant be true!" He starts running down the corridors like a mad man, but in the darkness there seems to be no door, no stairs, no way of exiting.

Page 10 [2008-10-14 15:18:08 - The Inner Sun - Iam. Noo.] While running through the dark corridors, he suddenly sees someone walking slowly across one of them. "Who is there?! Anyone...? No one?"
No one steps closer and asks, "What? Where am I? Who are you? Oh... Bored, where are we?"
"I think it's a corridor of the Archives. Last thing I remember is that I was telling everybody about some documents I found. Then... here."

Page 11 [2008-10-15 22:34:04 - The Inner Sun - Nel.] In her study room, Nelya tries to figure out more about the documents she found. Lines over lines that connect into strange symbols and a description about something called the inner sun. Suddenly all seems to connect. The symbols have a meaning only in relation with the other docs. She now realizes that she has to find all of them in order to understand their meaning.
Page 12 [2008-10-15 22:35:30 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] "Its not the sun!" Agitated, Bootes clears his desk and puts the papers in order one next to the other. "Oh no..its not the sun.."
Page 13 [2008-10-15 22:39:01 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] Singing to hide his fear of the dark place he is in, Bored walks alongside Noone. They search for something, anything and, if they are lucky, maybe a way to exit that place. The books are unreadable because of the darkness, but some look really big and heavy. "What's the point of a library if it's in such darkness?" Bored asks. "Shut up! You are annoying me!" No one replies.
Page 14 [2008-10-18 00:32:17 - The Inner Sun - Iam. Noo.] The corridors become narrower and huge spider webs block the way. Terrified by the idea of remaining in that dark place, 'No one' and 'I am Bored' continue to walk. Books all over the place... broken shelves. The place looks deserted, a huge library forgotten by time.
Page 15 [2008-10-18 00:38:56 - The Inner Sun - Iam. Noo.] After a long time, when their hope was at its end, the dark corridor finally ends. A small wooden door takes them in a big hall. A dark clouded sky can be seen through the broken windows of the hall.
Page 16 [2008-10-18 00:42:50 - The Inner Sun - Iam. Noo.] "We are finally out!!" I am bored jumps around happy while No one stares at the dark sky. "Whats wrong?" "Nothing, just that this is the closest thing I ever seen to what's called NIGHT." "Nah, it's just a dark sky. We exited into Necrovion it seems." Noone looks at I am bored, "How can we be in Necro you dumbass? Last time I remember we were trapped in the Archives. That's FAR away!"
Page 17 [2008-10-18 06:09:06 - The Inner Sun - Iam. Noo.] "Ummmm... I think a storm is coming... lets go back inside." Bored suggests. "No, its not a storm. We are indeed in Necrovion. Those are..." Jumping around trying to stay on one leg, Bored interrupts Noone. "Lets go count the books! Should be fun in total darkness!" Amazed by Bored's total ignorance, Noone walks away adventuring into Necrovion while Bored returns to the dark corridors. None of them knows exactly where they are going or what they are searching for in this deserted place.
Page 18 [2008-10-23 07:40:00 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am bored's impatience with the dark and stillness grows more with each passing breath. "I might leave this place if whoever is holding me here comes and speaks with me and explains what I am doing here!" Bored screams into the darkness and hurls a book which lands nowhere in particular. Imb's screams echo through the dark corridors as he slumps in a dark, forgotten corner, waiting for a reply.
Page 19 [2008-10-24 00:22:49 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am bored’s anxiety grows, but still the quiet darkness does not relent. Making matters worse, gloom is now joined by a biting chill. “I'll start a fire while I wait.” Imb produces a small tinderbox from his pocket and quickly rubs the flint together. Sparks leap onto some dry pages but quickly fade as if the darkness is just too great to allow the fire to penetrate it.
Page 20 [2008-10-24 23:04:03 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] From the light of the fire he can see the enormous amount of books in around him. He takes one of them and, after looking briefly over it, he puts it on the fire to keep it burning. "A good time for a break. Lets see what we have here..." Bored pulls out a big dusty book "Rare creatures... hmm, that sounds interesting." The pages are decorated with gold foil and beautiful artworks. "Rustgold Drachorn.... whoaaa this one looks nice!" he flips through the pages while the fire continues to burn and cast strange shades all over the place.

Page 21 [2008-10-25 00:03:13 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Pen.] Bootes and Penelope are quietly studying the ancient documents when, without warning, Penelope slams her fist on the desk. "We must be missing something! This can't be all of them, can it?" she asks, frustrated. Bootes stands and says, "I'll check the pub. You try and figure out what you can."
Page 22 [2008-10-27 17:10:16 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] While Bootes is asking around for help at the local pub, a regular patron stops him and hands him a parchment, "This might help you on your path." As Bootes unrolls the parchment he realizes it's a map to Sage's Keep, but it shows something different. Bootes turns to offer thanks but the patron is gone.
Page 23 [2008-10-31 02:45:53 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes winds his way to the rear of Sage's Keep to find two lion statues. Upon examination, the lions spring to life and roar, "Give us the Answer we seek, and you will find Entrance to this keep." Startled, but not deterred, Bootes readies himself for their challenge. "What is the Question you will Ask of Me?" Can you help Bootes? Click >here<
Page 24 [2008-11-01 22:20:32 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] While reading the creature book and looking at the nice detailed artworks, everything seems to become alive. Bored feels completely emerged into the descriptions and, for a moment, he feels he is on the Golemus Island near the Drachorn Lair, enjoying the refreshing sea breeze and forgetting about the dark corridors he is actually in.
Page 25 [2008-11-02 07:58:46 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Inspiration flashes in Bootes eyes and he slowly smiles. “Sand”, he says to the lions. The Lions' eyes lose their fire and they are lifeless once again. Bootes hears a large crack and the lions begin to crumble. He reaches the entrance just in time and turns to see that huge chunks of stone and rubble now block the entrance forever. Bootes heaves a heavy sigh and walks into Sage's Keep. Congratulations Burns for solving the quest so quickly!
Page 26 [2008-11-03 01:32:05 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes walks through the ornate doors of Sages Keep to find a long corridor; there is an air of mystery and serenity about the area. At the far end of the hallway is a pedestal illuminated by candle light. Bootes believes he may have found what he is looking for! He stands for a moment, in reverence, before journeying towards the end of the long hallway.
Page 27 [2008-11-03 04:51:38 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No one wanders around within the dark for a while before stumbling upon a large open fire. Approaching it slowly, he mumbles to himself, "Huh, I didn't know there was a fire here. I thought there were only shadows."
Page 28 [2008-11-03 04:58:31 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] As Bootes approaches the illuminated pedestal, he stops in his tracks and chuckles. "Another map? Are you kidding me?" He studies it for a moment and realizes it appears to direct him through the winding maze-like hallways of the Keep. He sets out with map and candle in hand.
Page 29 [2008-11-03 18:03:28 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes winds his way through the twisty corridors of Sage's Keep and marvels at the maze-like complexity of the interior. He follows the faded map to a set of doors at the end of the hallway. Bootes opens the doors to reveal a large study like room surrounded by walls lined with rows of scrolls and books. He enters the study and begins searching through the documents for the one that will continue his quest.
Page 30 [2008-11-03 19:14:07 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One continues his trek through the blasted wasteland he has found himself in, leaving the crackling fire to burn alone without him. The land appears dead and the sky is dark. No One stumbles upon a crossroads of sorts with a well in the center, though he finds no life here, either. All he does find is harsh wind, thick dust, more darkness... and a vase.
Page 31 [2008-11-04 05:11:19 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] After searching for what feels like days, Bootes discovers a wooden box with some papers on a desk tucked away in the corner of the vast study. He notices that all of the items bear the mark of the Inner Sun. Bootes' curiosity is piqued by the wooden box, which rattles when picked up. "Hmm? What is This?" Click >here< to find out.

Page 32 [2008-11-05 04:31:35 - The Inner Sun - Bo. Awi.] Bootes sits down at the desk and looks over the wooden box. The mark of the Inner Sun fades on the box’s lid and is replaced with a picture, only it appears broken and scrambled. Bootes touches the lid and sees that the pieces move and fit together in a pattern. After some time, Bootes smiles as the last piece clicks into place. A congratulatory message displays and the box unlocks. Congratulations to Awiiya for solving the quest correctly!
Page 33 [2008-11-05 04:59:48 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One continues his wander through the gloomy wasteland, slightly paranoid. Nervously walking, he trips and shouts to the shadows, “Hey! I saw you trip me!” He whirls around, seeing nothing, no one. Hysterically he says, “Am I going crazy?!” He runs, frantically watching his back as the wind howls and the lonely darkness prevails.
Page 34 [2008-11-05 18:23:07 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] Looking behind him as he runs away from the shadows, No one misses the tree root jutting up from the ground and goes down in a heap. Looking at the root, he begins to scream in wide-eyed terror. The root isn't a root at all! Trembling and shaken, he tries to slide away from it as something rushes past him on the other side. Overcome, he faints in the darkness.
Page 35 [2008-11-06 00:53:17 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One hears faint whispers and sits up quickly, eyes wide and looks around but only sees the barren trees. The whispers continue, vague yet insistent. Shadows play at the edges of his vision which then draw closer to No One. The whispers are now louder and change, becoming hissing, moaning, screeching… Eventually, No One cannot distinguish his screams from those of the shadows…
Page 36 [2008-11-07 00:07:51 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes lifts the lid of the box, eager to discover what is inside. He pulls out a strange object and studies it for a moment. It is long and metallic with several sliding pins set at right angles to each other. He also notices there are letters on the pins. Bootes turns it over, slides a few of the pins back and forth, noticing how they lock in place. “Is… is it a Key?”
Page 37 [2008-11-07 00:08:19 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes exits Sage’s Keep, squinting a moment at the bright light. He greets people as he walks the streets of Marind Bell on his way towards No Man’s Land. His stroll is short and leisurely. He watches as various groups train and spar or go about their business. Bootes finally arrives as the Howling Gates and takes in the bleak scene set before him and takes a few cautious steps and then enters Necrovion.
Page 38 [2008-11-07 02:55:20 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One squeezes his eyes shut and screams until his throat is raw. He opens his eyes to find he is alone. He tries to walk, but stumbles instead, dust pouring from his mouth. He breaks into a run but the shadows persist in their cruel game. Twisted shapes curl around him trying to consume his very soul. No One cries out in terror and panic, though none can hear him.
Page 39 [2008-11-07 03:34:39 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] The shadows swirl before No One. Their twisted shapes taking form, they manifest into something he recognizes: a small puppy. He begins to calm, reaching out to play with the puppy. The dog looks at No One strangely, but then wags its tail and barks happily. This is the first time No One finds solace in anything since entering this place. He is content to let it happen and hopes it lasts.
Page 40 [2008-11-07 18:38:00 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] The path before him is broken and cracked, thick with dust and devoid of life. The sky is dark and the silence is eerie and disturbing. The silence is shattered by a soul-wrenching scream from somewhere nearby. Bootes picks up his pace, “The sooner I get this done…” He finally arrives at the entrance to the dark house and hesitates.
Page 41 [2008-11-07 19:43:15 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am Bored sighs happily and closes the book he had been reading. “I’m keeping this!” he says. The fire has all but gone out; the embers of random books, lost forever, smolder quietly and fade. I am Bored looks around at the shadows for a moment. He stands, saying, “I want more books like this!” and leaves the dying fire behind.
Page 42 [2008-11-07 19:44:12 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] The House is shadowy and has a strange odor, sharp and acrid. Pale light from outside filters through the windows, yet does not illuminate anything. The air is thick with a haze. Is it smoke? Bootes looks around the entrance and sees several doors. He mumbles to himself, “Where is a Map when I Want One?”

Page 43 [2008-11-10 08:16:15 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Not wanting to stay any longer than he must, Bootes hastily searches for the documents. The House makes Bootes feel ill at ease and unsettled. While checking one chamber, he sees the remains of a fire and, upon further exploration, discovers a strange door. Click >here< to help Bootes figure out what to do.
Page 44 [2008-11-16 09:54:17 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] Relaxing a bit, No One picks up the puppy, which licks his hands. Suddenly, the dark land turns into a field of golden wheat. A shimmering bubble surrounds him and the field. Through its transparent layer, though, he can see the horrific landscape outside. No One stands, gaping in amazement of the peaceful, still, and beautiful setting.
Page 45 [2008-11-16 09:55:27 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One and the puppy march to the edge of the field to investigate. He gingerly touches the bubble with his finger; it bounces and wiggles but remains intact. No One laughs a bit and looks toward the sky, which appears bright and blue within this separated space. The puppy barks and runs around No One’s legs, seeking his attention.
Page 46 [2008-11-16 09:56:34 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes has some difficulty with the locks, unsure of the best way to use the key. He knows what he sees, but somehow it’s just not all coming together. Eventually, however, the first lock releases. He continues and manages to open all the locks on the door. He breathes a sigh of relief and smiles.
Page 47 [2008-11-17 04:24:13 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] With the vault door now open, Bootes searches for what he knows must be there. He marvels at the many books sealed within the vault, all of which are ancient. Yet, he knows they are also irrelevant. Opening a marked wooden box, Bootes sees what he needs. He leaves the vault while stuffing the documents into his pack. “To Finally be out of Here…”
Page 48 [2008-11-17 06:32:25 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes fights to keep his head down as he travels the path out of Necrovion. He is excited and eager to pour over everything he has found so far. The sky seems brighter somehow and the wind almost warm. The Howling Gates appear quickly; Bootes smiles and laughs.
Page 49 [2008-11-19 02:16:02 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am Bored’s search of the shelves and remaining books ends fruitlessly. He returns to the ashes of the fire and kicks it about. He thinks to himself, “Did I burn it? Oh well, I wonder if I can get out of here?” I am Bored turns and wanders away, completely oblivious to the newly opened vault behind him.
Page 50 [2008-11-19 02:20:32 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] The steps to his study seem longer and steeper than the last time Bootes walked them. Exhausted from his return journey, he nearly collapses upon entering. He unpacks his belongings and lies on his couch, a deep and dreamless sleep quickly overtaking him. He awakens several hours later, refreshed, and sends a message to Loreroot. “We Have a lot of Work to Do!”
Page 51 [2008-11-19 02:32:12 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] Wandering through the darkened corridors, I am Bored tucks his prize under his arm. He hums and talks to himself, barely paying attention to anything other than his own chatter. “This book is awesome! I want to read more of it! Where is a light when I need one? I wonder who started writing it…” His chatter continues as he walks on.
Page 52 [2008-11-19 03:01:57 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No one lets himself fall backward into the soft wheat. The puppy jumps over No One and licks his face and hands. He gazes up at the blue sky above and sighs. As he watches the sky, it begins to darken. A large, pale orb appears amongst many sparkling dots. No One’s mouth goes slack at the sight and is left dumbfounded.
Page 53 [2008-11-19 19:51:30 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] Confused, but curious, No One stands and looks around. The sky appears to have been painted with jewels. The moon appears large, emitting a soft, iridescent light that illuminates the whole of the surrounding land. No One is in awe at the scene unfolding before him. As he looks of into the distance, he sees another, strange light.
Page 54 [2008-11-19 19:52:50 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am Bored pulls open a door and emerges from the tunnel. He races up the stairs, two at a time, entering a brightly lit room. Looking around, he finds a desk and comfortable chair. He sits and looks through his book, gazing joyfully at all the pictures and their descriptions. “Archer, Barren Soul, Knator… This book has all the creatures in it! Wow!!”

Page 55 [2008-11-19 19:54:11 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar.] The documents are spread out all over every flat surface available and Bootes steps back to take it all in when he hears a knock at his door. Not paying attention, he starts speaking. “Penelope, I’m Glad you’ve Come…” but trails off when he hears someone cough gently. The person steps forward and says, “Circumstances have necessitated a change.”
Page 56 [2008-11-21 03:43:43 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] In the direction of Marind Bell, there is another light. It seems odd and surrounds the land. Before No One has a chance to analyze what he sees, the moon fades, the stars disappear, and the sky lightens again. He then hears an odd thumping. Looking at the source, he sees the puppy ramming against the bubble.
Page 57 [2008-11-21 03:44:45 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] Time passes as I am Bored studies the pages within the book. The library is surprisingly silent as he looks everything over at least twice, sometimes more. Looking through the book, he finds what looks like a simple wax seal. When I am Bores tries to open the sealed section, however, the wax holds fast. “Hey!! What is this?!”
Page 58 [2008-11-21 03:45:19 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar.] The two men walk around the Archives and speak at length. Finally, after a brief silence Bootes says, “I See. I am saddened to Hear such News.” “Thank you, but let us dwell on it no longer. I am here to ensure her vision is realized.” “Then we should Return to the Study and get Started, Tarquinus." “Lead the way, my friend. Let us see what we can discover.”
Page 59 [2008-11-21 23:48:20 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One is stunned to see the puppy frantically assault the bubble, which does not yield to it. He sees blood begin to smear against the bubble and cries out. With one final lunge the puppy launches itself at the bubble which shatters like glass. No One screams in panic as a barrage of jagged, gleaming glass swirls around him, slicing his face and arms.
Page 60 [2008-11-21 23:48:55 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] “What kind of book is this?! I want to see more!” Try as he might, though, the seal holds fast. Annoyed, I am Bored turns to throw the book away but then stops, a thought occurring to him. “When I was sitting in the dark, a seal opened…” He looks at the page with the Rustgold Dragon on it and sees that the wax has all but disappeared. “I wonder…”
Page 61 [2008-11-22 00:06:29 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar.] It is impossible to tell how long the two men have been working and puzzling over what has been found as the sun is defiantly stationary. “Is this all you have gathered, Bootes?” “Yes, Tarquinus. This is All I have Found.” Tarquinus leans against a chair, sets his jaw, and folds his arms across his chest. “Bootes, could we still be missing some documents?”
Page 62 [2008-11-22 02:49:27 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] Renavoid, the Archivist, is sitting on the bed in Marind's Room, his head in one hand despairingly, when Amoran enters the room. "Hello, Young One...please, have a seat." She quietly sits on the rug in the room and watches the Archivist trace his long quill through the air, spelling out the word "Turmoil" with the golden, sparking trace it leaves behind in the air. "What do you understand about personal strife?"
Page 63 [2008-11-22 20:35:27 - The Inner Sun - Iam.] I am Bored thinks a bit. “The book was sealed. That seal broke … perhaps more seals will open later?” He tucks the book under his arm and strides out of the Archives with a triumphant grin on his face. “I know I’ll see more!” I am Bored decides to keep the book, waiting impatiently for each seal to open. Bored now roams the lands eagerly awaiting the time his book will show something new, and rereading the pages of the book that are already open.
Page 64 [2008-11-23 06:25:11 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] "Personal strife is what leads us to our rewards," is Amoran's simple reply. Renavoid nods, understanding her response, and continues the lesson. "Hmm...but perhaps not quite so personal then? Perhaps we have need to include more people so that our hardships are not our own...I've been dreaming..."
Page 65 [2008-11-23 06:24:39 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] “This… this is a dream?! Someone! Anyone?! Help me!” No One cries. The torrent abates and No One stand motionless. “Wait, something isn’t right…” He examines his skin for gashes but finds none. Instead, he finds something else more disturbing. Looking on in disbelief, No One finds he is covered in a thick, black, sticky substance like oil... or blood.

Page 66 [2008-11-23 06:54:50 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar., Iam.] The men’s attention is drawn away from their current concern by a clamor coming from elsewhere in the Archives. Bootes peeks out his door to see a figure with a book shouting and singing on his way out. Tarquinus scowls dismissively at the spectacle and turns away. Bootes stops him and points, “Wait… What do you See There?”
Page 67 [2008-11-25 06:21:09 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] The substance drips off No One’s limbs in long strands which tear at his flesh. No One screams as his body oozes and is stripped to the very bone. He wheels around wildly, continuing to melt. Yet, he cannot run nor can feel or hear anything. He rolls his eyes to the sky, which has turned jet black, to avoid the sight of his naked bones. His screams echo only in his head.
Page 68 [2008-11-26 09:32:11 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] Renavoid sighs and continues his story, "When I sleep, I dream the same dream, almost everyday. It's a dreary dream of discomfort. I stand alone in my office, when dark overtakes the land. From the Balcony, I can see beautiful twinkling lights in the sky. But, the darkness does not stop. It creeps closer, drawing near and blinding me." Amoran listens intently.
Page 69 [2008-11-26 19:53:04 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] Trapped in his never-ending nightmare, No One looks in desperation at the small puppy. He recoils as it melts, too. The puppy sends out a silent plea from its eyes before they burst. The form dissipates and the ashes of its bones blow away. At this horrific sight, he awakes with a start, covered in sweat, to find himself alone in Necrovion once again.
Page 70 [2008-11-28 12:57:35 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar., Iam.] Bootes and Tarquinus discuss how to obtain the page in I am Bored’s possession. Each man offers several plans, but none seems suitable. The two consider ideas until they agree on a promising one. “I’m Not sure I Like it…” “Nay, but our course is narrow. We must have it.”Bootes leans back in his chair and sighs, “True… Now To find Someone to do It.”
Page 71 [2008-11-28 12:59:34 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar., Iam.] “The message has been sent to my spymaster. He is quite capable; he will succeed.” Bootes still looks uneasy, but Tarquinus reassures him: “Think of the greater good.” The two men sit in silence before Bootes smiles and says, “It’s Possible Bored Has even forgotten he Has it. There is Another Who wishes to help Us, as well.”
Page 72 [2008-11-28 13:01:19 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar., Iam.] In a darkened corner of the Archives, four shadowy figures discuss their plan in hushed voices. All the important details are laid out, assignments are given, and contingencies are considered for the unforeseen. With a nod of the head, one man sets the plot in motion.
Page 73 [2008-11-30 00:04:51 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar., Iam.] The sounds of battle ring out across the dojo. As I am Bored passes through, a man approaches and speaks with him. Bored’s face lights up, “You want to know about my book?! Awesome!” He begins to rant and becomes completely oblivious to his environment. Another man brushes by Bored; he does not pause to fold the paper, but hurries on his way instead.
Page 74 [2008-12-02 07:23:15 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Tar.] “Yes, this is It! I believe we Have everything We Need!” Bootes’ beams and even Tarquinus lets a smile appear as the two men are finally able to put all the pieces together. Tarquinus points to a rough diagram, “I believe this is your next destination.” He claps Bootes’ shoulder, “Your journey seems to be nearing its end.” Bootes begins his preparations to travel once again.
Page 75 [2008-12-02 07:30:25 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] Renavoid suddenly pauses his story and looks out the doorway to the Balcony. "Hmm...I must attend some other business, Young One. We will continue this soon." He smiles at her as he stands and walks out onto the Balcony. Slightly confused, Amoran goes about her business waiting for Ren to finish.
Page 76 [2008-12-04 23:43:04 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] He waves a farewell to his companion and leaves his office. Bootes is excited and nearly runs down the steps leading out of the Archives. There is a spring to his step and he feels cheery. His mind races with the possibilities of what he might discover. With the collected documents in tow, Bootes begins what he feels will be the final leg of his journey.

Page 77 [2008-12-12 07:14:58 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One pants heavily and wipes the sweat from his face. His clothes are damp and he aches all over. He closes his eyes for a moment, but snaps them open again almost instantly. The images from his nightmare are still behind his eyelids, seemingly lying in wait for him. His breath rattles in his chest and disturbs the dust around him, the only sign of life within this land.
Page 78 [2008-12-12 07:47:37 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] Renavoid takes a step back into the room from the balcony, stretching slightly. "Well, that was a bundle of joy...Where did Amoran get to?" He kicks at his adept gruffly, "Hey, get up you lazy bum. Go find Amoran...now!" Turning to look out over the balcony once more, the Archivist patiently strokes the feathers of his long quill.
Page 79 [2008-12-12 07:55:28 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] Standing and wandering about the desolate land, No One wonders if he is truly alone. His mind races with thoughts about what has happened, and what he has done. No One sees shadows at the edge of his vision, shadows which dart from nowhere and return there. He is unsure whether they are real or imagined... and if it even matters.
Page 80 [2008-12-12 08:08:26 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] The breeze is light and the sun is warm. Bootes travels quickly from the Archives, through Marind's Bell, and passes through the gates of the city. Others note his upbeat attitude and wave to him or call out. He merrily returns their well-wishes as he continues on and turns a corner, his pack bouncing against his back. Before long the Gates of Ages appear before him.
Page 81 [2008-12-12 08:41:57 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] The sound of the door opening and footsteps causes the Archivist to look up once more. "I'm back!" Amoran grins broadly. Renavoid stands and sets the quill and log aside. "Splendid!" Ren quirks an eyebrow at a once again sleeping Adept, then, rolling his eyes, thinks. "Now...where did I leave off in our tale..."
Page 82 [2008-12-13 11:59:34 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One continues his lonely trek through the blackened, scorched wastelands of Necrovion and his despondency begins to intensify. He is beginning to doubt himself, what he has done. The darkness within him feels as though it is closing in on his mind, his heart, and his soul. He suddenly drops to the ground, overcome by despair.
Page 83 [2008-12-13 12:00:26 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One feels crushed under the weight of the shadows which are far deeper within him than those that follow. His agony rings through his ears, seeps into every tissue, and runs cold through his blood. No One tries to weep for his soul, but his tears are lost to the consuming darkness within him. He speaks softly, more movement than sound, “Is there nothing left of my humanity?”
Page 84 [2008-12-14 23:29:16 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] “No! I won’t let it slip away!” No One lurches to his feet and cries out in defiance. He races through the broken and blasted waste which is Necrovion. He catches sight of the Howling Gates and makes a mad dash for them. No One crosses the threshold and keeps running, rushing past the lonely tree and its guardian, and finally stops at the Gazebo of Equilibrium.
Page 85 [2008-12-14 23:30:04 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No One smiles and relaxes at finding himself in a familiar place. He leans back and slows his breathing while up against the latticework of the gazebo. Yet, his repose is not entirely restful. In the back of his mind he realizes that he has escaped the shadows without but not the shadows within. No One reaches up and wipes the sweat from his face.
Page 86 [2008-12-15 00:48:22 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] Bootes pauses a moment to adjust his pack before moving toward the Gates of Ages again. However, as he takes a step, there is a roaring blast of wind which bowls Bootes over, knocking him to the ground. Picking himself up, he sees there is now someone blocking the way: MRD, Leader of the MR Fraternity and Protector of Golemus.
Page 87 [2008-12-15 01:13:49 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] MRD is motionless, flanked by his drachorns. “Sorry, Bootes, but no one gets past me.” Bootes continues to dust himself off saying, “MRD, I Need to gain Entrance to Golemus.” MRD smirks and shrugs. “Okay, you’ll have to prove yourself. Are you ready for this?” MRD sweeps his arm and several more creatures appear.

Page 88 [2008-12-16 05:22:51 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] A voice draws No One’s attention, a voice filled with frustration. He walks toward it to find himself in Berserker’s Way. Someone is standing there, fuming, “I don’t get this thing! It doesn’t make sense.” No One clears his throat and offers, “I might be able to help you with this. Let me explain something...” No One begins to advise the newcomer.
Page 89 [2008-12-16 05:58:07 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] The sounds of battle ring across the Gates of Ages. There are several harsh exclamations and MRD smirks, “You are a worthy opponent, but…” A soft groan issues from Bootes as another from his forces fall. There is a pause before battle begins anew, a chuckle following. “You’re not so bad yourself.” MRD’s jaw drops at the loss of one of his own.
Page 90 [2008-12-16 06:26:05 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] With Amoran sitting once more on the rug in Marind's Room, Renavoid continues his tale as if nothing had happened. "The darkness, once it reaches me, continues to blind all of my senses, not just my sight. I can hear only my thoughts, though they are hushed. I feel only cold. It is most oppressing."
Page 91 [2008-12-16 06:27:04 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] The newcomer nods in appreciation of the info. “Hey, thanks a lot! Now that I understand it, I think I’ll be able to figure it out.” No One smiles, waves, and then returns to the gazebo and sits. For several moments he feels at peace. The darkness within him has withdrawn and he is left feeling calm and serene.
Page 92 [2008-12-16 06:28:43 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] MRD grunts in disbelief at Bootes’ counter. “Have You had enough?“ There is a soft sigh before MRD replies, “Very clever…” With a quick movement, he laughs and smiles, “not nearly clever enough, though.” Bootes’ eyes widen in surprise. He ponders deeply before his next move, replying with his own grin. “Is This clever Enough for You?”
Page 93 [2008-12-18 02:41:02 - The Inner Sun - Noo.] No one contemplates a moment. He thinks about how his torment has abated for the short time he was helping. For that time, he feels as though the light within him was set free and the shadows were conquered... but not for long, as the shadows have since resumed their brutal assault against his psyche. No One sighs darkly, feelings of desperation returning.
Page 94 [2008-12-18 02:41:33 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] The sound of battle grows deeper and the two men fall into silence, concentrating on the task at hand. There are no exclamations or sighs; there is only the crack of stone on stone, the sound bouncing off the gates. This lasts for several more minutes before MRD explodes, “This is it, Bootes! I have you now – prepare for defeat!”
Page 95 [2008-12-18 03:22:37 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] "I sensed only an endless abyss with me in some random meaningless corner. The darkness noticed me though. It seeped into my skin, slowly devouring my body in its effort to control me. Struggling with all of my might, I grabbed the one thing I found comfort in: my Quill." Amoran's eyes turned a deep shade of blue as she listened.
Page 96 [2008-12-18 03:17:12 - The Inner Sun - Bo., MRD] Silence settles in the area, and even the wind refuses to blow. Bootes reaches across the board, moving a small – seemingly hidden – piece. MRD sputters for a moment and Bootes chuckles softly. “Check and Mate, Sir.” MRD looks on in disbelief for a moment and then extends his hand. “Bootes, I thank you for one fine game of chess.”
Page 97 [2008-12-18 03:22:22 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] "I channeled all of my energy into the Quill. It was the thing that most closely identified with my mind, you see. When the darkness completely consumed my body, the quill, with my soul and essence, remained glowing. It glowed with the fierceness of the sun, and drove the darkness out. It is here, always, that I wake from the hellish nightmare."

Page 98 [2008-12-19 12:05:42 - The Inner Sun - Noo. END] He suddenly springs up with renewed vigor and a stronger resolve. “If I can help others then…” he says out loud, “perhaps that can… redeem me…” No One has made his decision, a way for him to keep his own shadows at bay. Unsure whether he will truly find redemption for his crimes – real or imagined – he knows he has to try. He now wanders the land silently; a wandering beacon for those who are lost.
Page 99 [2008-12-19 12:43:52 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] Taking a deep breath, Renavoid sits on the bed in the room. "I have to say... I believe it is a very important thing to understand. Though, many in the realm will not understand it." Amoran watches the Archivist intently, not sure if she should be comforting him or if he was trying to tell her something deeper with this dream of his. Perhaps I am one of those in the realm who does not understand?
Page 100 [2008-12-20 23:57:27 - The Inner Sun - Ren., Am.] The two sit in silence for many long moments. The Archivist merely waits for Amoran to finish thinking whatever she's pondering. Experience will teach her in time. Amoran stands suddenly, and Renavoid looks up with a smile. After another pause, she speaks, "I need to think about this," and she abruptly leaves the room to travel her own path.
Page 101 [2008-12-21 00:18:51 - The Inner Sun - Ren. END] The Archivist watches the woman leave and sighs. "It would seem it has begun. It is a shame we can't get personal directions...but our paths are much too unique.." Renavoid's path has led him to his next task, and he rises now as the Master Archivist: overseer of the Archivists and Archives, as well as many other things that pertain to them. His Inner Sun is unlocked.
Page 102 [2008-12-30 04:58:21 - The Inner Sun - Bo.] Bootes steps off the bridge leading to the island of Golemus and breathes the salty air. The unusual sound of the surf breaking on the nearby beach draws his attention. Walking on the sparkling sands of the beach, he takes a moment to smile. Then, with a deep breath, the Celestial Observer turns and walks back the way he came.
Page 103 [2008-12-30 01:38:08 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] Bootes pauses, breathless at the majestic sight of the Pillars of Harmony. Before continuing on, Bootes feels a hand on his shoulder and turns to see someone walk past him. “Nelya?” he calls out. “How did you…?” Nelya turns back towards Bootes, smiling and laughing lightly. “A hug and a kiss, dear Bootes. Come, you have much work to do.”
Page 104 [2009-01-01 10:38:18 - The Inner Sun - Am.] Amoran descends the stairs out of Ren’s office. “What does this have to do with me? Did… Renavoid see within my…?” She travels the land but is unaware of her surroundings. Eventually she finds herself next to the Oak Fort in the forests of Loreroot, her thoughts twisting within her mind. Dark… Light… Knowledge… Power… Me… Her
Page 105 [2009-01-01 10:38:59 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] The dais is silent as the light flares again. “Have you found anything In that Tome?” Nelya tilts her head draping her hair across her face. She frowns as she brushes it away, “Bootes, you think there is a connection?” “Nelya, give me your Map,” he says with a slight smile. He begins to point out his observations.
Page 106 [2009-01-01 23:50:10 - The Inner Sun - Am.] Amoran leans against the tree which sways in response to her presence. She has exhausted herself and the words echo in her head. “He wanted to tell his story to someone worthy. Am… I to be tested…” she trails off, frightened at what it may mean. Unable to concentrate any longer, she eases to the ground, her eyes drift close, and she dreams. Click >here< to help.
Page 107 [2009-01-01 23:50:17 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] “What connection do the Pillars of Harmony have with all this?” Bootes’ smile falters for a moment as he hesitates. “… I cannot Say for sure, but together we will discover it and see it returned to this Land.” Nelya extends her hand and grasps Bootes’ and smiles. “Yes, we will solve this mystery; we will see the Moon again.” Click >here< to help.
Page 108 [2009-01-13 07:09:53 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] Kalamanira swings her sword with ease and precision. Amoran barely dodges the blows, desperate to avoid a fight. Yet she sees few options left. Voices echo in a torrent within Amoran’s head: words of advice and guidance. The cacophony seems to distract Kalamanira as well, and Amoran makes her move.

Page 109 [2009-01-13 07:10:06 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] Moving swiftly, Amoran takes Kalamanira’s head between her palms. Stepping forward, she kisses Kalamanira, causing her to drop her weapon in shock. Wind howls, and the world twists around them. Amoran takes a step back to see the scene has changed to one of a large willow tree illuminated from behind by the moon.
Page 110 [2009-01-14 06:53:39 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] Nelya nudges Bootes, rousing him from his slumber. “I have found something you should see, Bootes.” He barely opens an eye to peer at her. She smiles and whispers, “I think I have found the last piece of this puzzle.” Bootes grunts indistinctly, and Nelya rolls her eyes. She bends over and says in his ear, “A sigil.”
Page 111 [2009-01-14 06:54:03 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] Moonlight shines through the boughs of the tree before Amoran. Kalamanira whispers. “…this is when…” but trails off. Amoran recognizes this as the moment when one was separated into two. It all has been frozen in time: the tree, the beast, Amoran and Kalamanira flying back from the tree and each other.
Page 112 [2009-01-14 06:55:03 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] “Ah, yes! Where did You find This?” “In a book about seals, how to form and release them. Bootes…” she pauses, “will this work?” He races toward the Pillars of Harmony, shouting back, “Let’s find Out!” Working together once more, the two activate the pillars, sending Bootes across the realm, following a specific pattern.
Page 113 [2009-01-14 06:55:21 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] “This is when it began,” Kalamanira says and walks around, studying the stillness before her. Amoran is still for a time before asking, “What began here?” “Our journeys… our separate journeys, Amoran,” Kalamanira replies. “This moment is when we became the last two of our kind.” “Two? What are you talking about? We are the last one, Kala.”
Page 114 [2009-01-15 02:29:23 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] Bootes emerges from the light and steps off the dais, smiling, having returned from the last site. “Did we do it, Bootes? Will the moon return?” The light on the dais does not fade but intensifies, drawing their attention. The light surges into the pillars, and a faint melody intones. Nelya asks Bootes, “What is that sound?”
Page 115 [2009-01-15 02:29:43 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] Kalamanira looks into Amoran’s eyes and smiles sadly. “You know that is no longer true. We each sought healing. You found it in the Oak Fort of Loreroot and I took it from the Accursed Growth in Necrovion. We were connected, yes, but we have each been healed by the land to which we bound ourselves.” Amoran stands, considering her words.
Page 116 [2009-01-15 02:30:00 - The Inner Sun - Bo., Nel.] The melody grows louder as the pillars flash in rhythm to the music. The ground shakes, and the pillars blast a beam of light into the sky as the music crescendos. Bootes and Nelya shield their eyes and cover their heads. The two are motionless and bewildered. “Bootes…?” Nelya begins, but stops as he shakes his head. “I Don’t know, Nelya…”
Page 117 [2009-01-15 02:30:17 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] “But, Kala… what does this mean?” The willow tree before them shimmers in response, glowing brightly and changing. It rends itself apart, the earth beneath it doing likewise. The tree splits and reforms into two: the Oak Fort and the Accursed Growth. The land mirrors the split: rolling plain and burning battlefield.
Page 118 [2009-01-15 22:14:07 - The Inner Sun - Am., Kal.] Amoran watches silently as Kalamanira walks to stand near the tree, her tree. “No longer are we one, Amoran… we have separate bodies, minds, ideas… I see this now.” Amoran walks to her own tree and feels it move in response to her presence and touch. She looks toward Kalamanira and hears the truth in her words. “Yes, we walk different paths.”
Page 109 [2009-01-15 22:23:57 - The Inner Sun - Am. END] Amoran awakens and wipes tears from her eyes as they adjust to the brightness. She sits in the shade of the Oak Fort, her dream having left her uneasy and sad. Did she fail? Did she succeed? Uncertainty assails her; she knows she has lost a part of herself forever. Amoran has changed, now walking a path steeped in twilight. The Twilight Bound has finished her quest for now.
Page 120 [2009-01-17 02:29:11 - The Inner Sun - Others] The decor is set, and guests arrive from all over the realm. The celebration begins, and the mood is light and cheerful. Speeches are made; champagne flows freely. New friends are created and old companions laugh, dance, and talk for hours. None takes notice of the appearance of an object in the sky: large, round, luminous.

Page 121 [2009-01-17 21:45:22 - The Inner Sun - Others] The object continues its ascent, silent and grand while the celebration continues, the guests bursting with joy and enthusiasm. In the sky, another phenomenon begins, but which does not go unnoticed. The Eternal Sun begins to fade and is eclipsed by a dark body. There are gasps of alarm and surprise. “Look! The Sun!”
Page 122 [2009-01-17 21:45:44 - The Inner Sun - Others] The entire realm stops to hold its breath and watch. The moon is radiant, dominating the black, star-speckled sky. The feeling of confusion and hesitation gives way to elation. At first there are soft laughs, which expand to cheers, but these soon give way to ecstatic voices, raising high into the air: Night has returned to the land of MagicDuel.
Page 123 [2009-01-19 01:29:29 - The Inner Sun END] Bootes and Nelya stand silently and observe as the Sun reappears and the Moon sets. Bootes’ face is lit up like a child’s, and Nelya smiles happily. “That was Absolutely Amazing, wasn’t it?” Nelya hugs him tightly, asking, “Will night come again?” Bootes grabs a scrap of paper, calculates quickly, and looks up, uttering one word: “Yes.” This concludes the Inner Sun branch. Soon, a puzzle will be available to let players predict the coming of night!
