The person who plays their role the best with-in the capacity of the RPC List
.Khalazdad.
To be chosen as the "best" of something is incongruent for me. I'm not sure I believe in a "best". I'm quite certain also that if there is a "best" I am not it - All of the RPC's are so worthy.
However, what this means to me is that people noticed I was doing my job. They were kept involved, my plots, schemes and adventures were lived for others. I have served as I hope to serve.
For this, I have pride. I would give away my award if I could, to all those who made it possible for me to serve as I wished.
Thank you for this place, this "game", where so much of life is lived out.

Awarded to the most helpful Live Help Operator

I am proud to accept LHO of the Year. This means very much to me. I will honor this award, along with the admiration and respect it everyone who made this possible. I wanted to become LHO to help others as I suggested to .Renavoid. when I was trying to obtain his Inner Magic Doc (Leadership Spirit). He was determined to give me his Doc, but first ask me some questions about Leadership Spirit, and it came down to this; " What could I do to show Leaders Spirit?" My answer, "Become a LHO." Thinking I was going to get the Doc, he said to me; " Become LHO", and get .Jonn. to message me and tell me how valuable I am as a LHO and he would give me the Doc. Now I was thinking I would never get the Doc....smiles... I received it about three weeks later. .Renavoid. has given me so much more than Leadership Spirit Doc. I admire him for his wisdom and thank him for all that he has done.
Now what did I do to win LHO of the Year? I helped others with the MagicDuel Game.... but really everyone helps everyone, so I did nothing special there. I enjoy playing MagicDuel Adventures, and I am online ..... well too much, so I spend a lot of time helping others more than most of the other LHOs I suspect. Then there is the new beginning for the game at MP2 starting on the island of Golumus. There is was wild I enjoyed it so much I spent two whole weeks there the first time I was sent to help.

Awarded to the player who plays their role the best outside of the RPC List
Zleiphneir
I am honored to have received the awards for best PWR, best Role Play, and best Back Story. These three awards are linked to each other and so it is not so entirely strange for one person to receive all three.
My PRW award I can only attribute to what I did to receive the other two. I have been role playing for many years, and so I am aware of the restricting you need to place on your character in order to make it interesting and unique. A characters back story is the most important part of who they are, linked only to how well you can carry out what you have created. I know my character in side and out, his history, everything that makes him who he is and how he is - whether I reveal that in game or not. My character is complicated which makes him interesting and above all he is not perfect he is very flawed - as with life. Realism is what I try to put forward. I also do not break from my character, I do not start acting in a way that he would not. If I have created a back story, I stick to it. I follow very strict rules as to how I dictate my role play. You should always allow the other person to choose how their character will react, this gives the other person full freedom to express who their character is. I think I am interesting to people not because I am interesting as such, but rather because I am completely and utterly involved in who and what my character is, and he exists in the most realistic way I can make him.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Your votes make me smile for ear to ear and let me know that Zleiphneir is as real to you as he is to me - which is a wonderful thing to me told.

Awarded to a player who has given consistent outstanding service to the game.
.Calyx of Isis.
Winning the award for service to MD was quite a surprise. My perception is that the award, my status in the game, and being a RPC, all stem from the founding of the Dojo on August 11th 2008. People said it would never work. that it was impossible, but I never believed them. What I did not anticipate is that it would catch on so quickly - it felt like a long established institution after only a couple weeks - or that it would have suck a broad impact on the game.
The first hint I had of the Dojo's effect on the game was when Meru Chi said to me in late August, " You know they are starting to for ask permission over at Willow's Shop!" Another thing that started to happen was people started assuming I had healing spells and other abilities. I was just another MP4 with RPC status coming weeks in the future.
All of this lead to opportunities to help other players at all levels. I fell into the role of LHO (without being one) and mentor to all. I found myself being treated as if I knew a lot more than I did. I had to start seeking out top players to learn about rituals because people assumed Calyx of Isis would know these things.
I jokingly say, I am a victim of my own success. I have an outgoing nature, enjoy talking to all and teaching, and apparently have a little charisma. Each success lead to others looking to me for more and I have continually tried to meet those expectations. The award it a reminder to me to keep on doing what I have been doing since I joined the game. It is also an opportunity for me to say " You can to it too!" All I wanted was a relatively safe place to do healing rituals and set defensive rituals.

Awarded to the most annoying player in the game.
I am Bored
It is an honor to win this award, but I won it only because I am Bored. I just did what came naturally. One thing I want to know is if I ever get a medal, how would I display it as I have no avatar... hmmm... oh well... Wait was I supposed to be giving a speech? hmmm... Oh well, this will just have to do for my speech...
Now I am Bored again...

Awiiya, *Limbertok*, Xcerces
Winning this award is truly an honor and a surprise to me. I am not in any way, hilariously funny 100% of the time. I would have to say the best way to win this award is to just go about your business and let it come to you. For this is certainly how I was in the winning group. the comment that was said was when I was new and I had no idea Yami would record it, enter it into a competition, or that people would vote for it to win.
So I suppose the lesson of the day is: best way to win any award, is not to try. - Awi

Awarded to the player with the Least Convincing Alternative account or accounts in the game.
Liberty
for the Libs
So I recruited my army and named them according to my name, that's why they are the least convincing in the game.
When the category came up in the awards I knew I had a very good chance to win. it was nice to win, especially since we got medals, and the award pics on our profile papers.
But I am still a bit disappointed that I did not win a gold medal,(since gold looks nicer) but since I did not win more than the one category I don't get gold.
However it was great honor to win in the 1st awards ceremony of the game.

It's a great honor to win not one but two awards. I am especially proud of the Best Personal Papers Award. I honestly did not expect to win anything. Though it is funny that for the first time in my life I am being awarded for spending so much time online. with the Most Addicted Award
Going off that I have done nothing special to prepare for any award since I didn't expected to win anything. I never really tried to do anything to gain any attention; I only do what I do. If people notice great! If not, no big deal.

Best Villain Awarded to the meanest most evil player of the year.

Whats can I say? I did it! Yay! I am the first official villain of MD! *Starts dancing around*. I must thank all my fans out there: I know you love me : D. Now let's be serious: I didn't plan to become "the bad guy" ( or actually "the bad girl") of the MD world. It just happened. The fact I have a big mouth "helped" a lot. It started as a joke, but since I had so much fun I continued, and in time I really got into the character. (Yes I role play. : P). To be honest I thought .Jonn. would win, but it seems I am more evil than he is : D.
I was ask to tell what I did in the game to win this award. What can I say? I did EVERYTHING! Starting with messing up the Heads Contest, then destroying the military alliances, killing everyone in the first Land War. ( I missed this in the second Land War by only 30 mins.), creating unbeatable rituals and getting on everyone's nerves. Still it was a surprise to me when I saw my stigmata. It seems I was not evil enough for you, all MD dwellers to hate me. For this and for all the fun I had, I thank you all.
Thank You

Awarded to the person in all of MD to provide the Best Technical Support for the year.

This one award I should share with No one. One day a player ( who is unfortunately inactive for some months now) told me of a thing he thought was a bug. I tested it and indeed it was. One of the best MD has had (the AP Bug). I told No one about it and we started using it. This was the beginning. Knowing that the game is in alpha stage and has lots of bugs and exploits we started searching for them. This is how we took over alliances. And yes... I can tell you now, this is how I made my unbeatable ritual: Ghost Ritual. We found bugs, tested them, reported them, used them. What I love about this "job" is that every time I thought: "That's it! there are no more bugs, no more exploits to discover." The Game contradicted me, It's a vicious circle, but I love it. : ) I said on the beginning that I would share this one with No one. This is because he was the mastermind behind a lot of "bad deeds" I or rather we have done. since he has the programing skills. Yes, I have a little knowledge of how things work with php and databases but I use my common since to find things. Also, No one has been a great teacher, and I have learned a lot from him.
So, Thank you, No one for teaching me and sharing your knowledge.
And...
Thank you, Mur for not banning us when we did bad things, and for giving us the opportunity to have so much fun playing.

It is a great honor knowing I was voted Rookie of the Year by my fellow MD players. Since this is an annual award it makes it even more special to me to know they think I am a big addition to the game. My success has been because of a few things. I made many great friends, and helped many up and coming, and even some seasoned players. I would say it was a combination of my tough army, and my willingness to help and teach that won me this award. - UP

Awarded to the player who has given the best protection to their followers.
.Raven.
LOL being awarded this is truly amazing. Thank you all (I guess the ones I protect) who nominated and voted for me in this award Category. I guess being a Protector is just a natural progression since I started playing, I have always tried to help people then became an LHO and then in time a protector. I would also have to guess that healing people more than 5000 times may have had something to do with wining also. I would like to see more Protectors be more giving willing to heal people that need it not just those who they protect, but until this time I guess many will still look to me for healing help which I am happy to provide, though I am now looking to move to MP7 as soon as I can. As it will be more in my role as the Illusionist of Loreroot.
