The Khopesh Sword

The khopesh (khopsh) was an ancient Egyptian weapon.
The design is devastatingly effective and changed the
development of edged weapons all around the world.

The Khopesh sword is a slashing weapon wielded only by
skilled soldiers for use in close combat. Its sickle-like
blade could be edged either on the inside or outside curve.
The weapon is extremely effective at creating slashing
wounds and Edged to the inside, it was used for hacking
an opponent in pieces.
